The word 'Ganesh' is the name of the elephant-headed Hindu God symbolizing Good Fortune and the word 'Himal' means the abode of snow where Hindus believe that the elephant-headed Hindu God dwells in the pre-historic time. This is how one of Nepal's peaks has been named Ganesh Himal. The Ganesh Himalayan Range of peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV) looks like crystal and distinct stood between the valley of the Buri Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east.

Besides, Ganesh Himal trekking area also offer you, an excellent habitat for a wide variety of plants & animals; 526 species of plants (including 40 species of orchids), a variety of Ferns, Spanish oak, blue pine and in spring time blossoming of the rhododendron set whole forest alight in spectacular arrays of color. There are 300 species of birds & other interesting wild animals includes the Himalayan thar, gaur, many kinds of monkeys and musk deer are also found. Another feature of the area includes the abundance of crystals available which is regarded valuable and precious stone.
The trekking route passes through interesting Tamang villages, natural hot springs, gorges and glaciers and magnificent sceneries. Ganesh Himal Trekking can be organized only on full board camping with the support of necessary logistics.
