Siklish Trekking

Siklish Trekking is named after Siklish Village inhabited by Gurung community in the Annapurna Region. It is a short trekking trail starting at Begnas Tal (Lake) heading north to the Mardi Khola (1,981m). You will walk through terraced hill, dense moss-laden rhododendron forests where very few trekkers have traversed to reach this slate-roofed Siklish village inhabited by the friendly Gurung ethnic community. While trekking, you will have the amazing panorama of Himalayan mountain range which includes Annapruna South (7,219 m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail - 6,997 m), Annapurna II (7,937 m) and Lamjung Himal (6,983 m) and in the distance Manaslu (8,163 m), Ngadi Chuli (Peak 29) and Himalchuli (7,892 m). The region is particularly good for bird watching because of its pristine forested surroundings where different species of birds are found. In the Siklish village you will get a chance to see traditional Nepalese lifestyle and culture. In the springtime, during the trekking you can see blooming of white orchids and other flora in the forest. This Siklish trekking is most suitable for a family even with younger children. The best time to visit this area is Spring and Autumn.
